Variety and Versatility

You'll find a wide variety of unique instruments, conveniently organized for fast access. There are cinematic Atmospheres & FX, majestic Bell & Percussive tones, expressive Melodic instruments and a slew of drop dead gorgeous Pads & Strings, all with a distinct and dramatic wintry vibe.

Maximum Variety

Many of these Combinators are actually several instruments in one. A patch can instantly transform from an evolving pad to a tempo-synched arpeggio with the press of a button. The custom front panel controls allow for tons of modulation, variety and exploration.

Heads-Up Controls

Every patch features its own carefuly programmed custom performance controls. Many of these knobs and buttons interact with each other, so we label this right on the front panel with helpful arrows pointing related controllers to each other. No guesswork.

Creative Routing

Each patch is built from the ground-up for Reason and its unique devices. We exploited them to the fullest with custom routing for every patch, giving you a massive set of truly one-of-a-kind tools built for pure musical inspiration. They are super CPU efficient too!

In the Field

During the absolute dead of winter, in some of the coldest spots we could reach, we visited a number of amazing locations to capture our source material. We recorded giant tubular bells in a frozen cave, creaking ice floes on a river, a bowed upright bass in the heart of a blizzard, ocean waves hitten a snow-covered beach, a trumpet in an abandoned train tunnel and many more weird and icy moments.

In the Studio

Through a whole lot of granular and additive synthesis, resampling, some math and a little bit of voodoo we set about transforming these moments into this extremely unique set of musical tools.

We used creative production techniques, advanced sampling, resynthesis and sound design to craft the complex 24 bit waveforms that power each instrument. To ensure maximum tweakage and variety, custom routing, effects and performance controls were designed for each to bring endless inspiration and possibilities.
